3 parts · 7 phases
Let's make space for new ideas by first imagining the worst. Agree on the worst possible result of our work, then work alone.
- List how to guarantee the worst result
Working alone, list everything you could do to achieve the worst possible result.
Now work through three passes together. You'll stay in the same room the whole time.
- Combine your lists
Combine everyone's lists of ways to guarantee the worst result.
- Reckoning
Go through your combined list and honestly mark everything you are currently doing that in any way resembles an item on the list.
- Decide what to stop
Decide what you need to stop doing to get the results you actually want. Name a first step to stop each counterproductive thing.
- Share what you'll stop
Groups share what they'll stop and the first steps they're committing to. Spotlight the most inspiring next steps.
