3 parts · 6 phases

Part 1 On your own
Intro Host-paced

Agree on a shared purpose, starting with "we want...". Then work alone.

  1. List your max specs 2 min

List everything you think you must do and must not do to achieve the shared purpose. These are the "max specs".

Part 2 In small groups Rooms of 5
Intro Host-paced

Combine and then prune your lists together. You'll stay in the same room.

  1. Combine your lists 6 min

Combine everyone's max specs into one detailed list.

  2. Cross off what isn't essential 15 min

Test each max spec against the purpose. Cross off anything you could drop and still achieve the purpose. Keep going until only the truly inviolable rules remain.

Part 3 Everyone
  1. Agree the min specs and first steps 15 min

Each group shares its short list. Consolidate into one final set of min specs. Then share ideas for first steps to put them into practice.
